Pastor,

Thank you for being such a great leader. I am sure you have a hard time accepting this compliment but I am so thankful for your leadership as my Pastor. My wife and I have been working on our Personal Growth Plans for 2010 and are excited about the focus and clarity it gives us in our chaotic lives. I am planning on helping my six year old daughter develop one for herself as well. I am reminded of Proverbs 21:31 that says, "The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD." I believe this verse reflects the idea that we have a responsibility as believer to plan out our lives (battles), but our ultimate trust for victory is in God, not in our plan. Keep leading us onto victory General Stephens!

Chris, I'm sharing this very thing Saturday night at Zoe. It's First Saturday, one of our monthly "come and see" outreach events. Each Monday we have a group, a preaching point if you will, at Starbucks downtown. Last night we had 13. We use it as a type of Sunday School. College students ain't gonna come to no Sunday School class, but they'll come for coffee and conversation after work at Starbucks. Anyway, we always throw out a question and talk about it. Last night we talked about how our relationship with Christ can grow and how we can avoid pitfalls. What you blogged today goes right in line. Thanks, dawg!

Greetings Pastor and Brother in Christ,

Good one! I pray that all who reads today message does follow thur with a Spirital Plan for their life journey of 2010 for it does help to keep us strong in good and tring life trails. I know it has for me. And your tolally correct it's not a plan written in stone. So what ever we get done or redue during the year doesn't mean we've failed and God is pleased no matter what as long as we are in relationship with our Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and teach us.
Shalom, joy and much LOVE!
