Hurting @ 40,000 Feet

Uncategorized 2 Comments

Hey Gang,

As most of you read this post I’m at 40,000 ft. above sea level in a jet heading to Central America.  I am going to meet with one of our missionaries, Terry Dupont.  He is one of the most awesome missionaries I have ever seen.  I am going to help him train pastors from Costa Rica.  I’m excited about the trip and I ask you to pray for us.  I am burdened for pastors and churches, especially in the United States.  Of late, the weight of the lost without Christ and the impending Great White Throne Judgment have burdened my heart.  I look around America and see tens of thousands dying, empty, hopeless churches.  I see the lost without a strong witness or a powerful church and I am scared for so many that will spend forever without God in a hopeless hell.  I believe the Lord has placed on my heart the desire to help churches, pastors and leaders impact the Kingdom of God.  It is time to put in the two minute offense.  We are behind in the game and are loosing souls.  We MUST ramp-up our efforts to win the lost.

We have so much at our finger-tips and we must pick the right priorities.  Pray with me for this trip and for how I can help church leaders achieve their redemptive potential.  It is time for a risk.  Time for faith.  Easter is just around the corner and it is a great time to invite folks to church.  We are having two mega weekends; Easter and the weekend before.  I’m praying for over 10,000 in the two weekends and for many to come to Christ.  Pray with me, participate with me – together we can make a difference. What else can you do that will last forever?

Swinging the Sword,

Pastor

    Hola Pastor,
I heard yesterday during the service that you were going to Costa Rica. I would’ve liked to talk to you about my dad, who is a pastor in Costa Rica. What town are you going to visit? Hopefully next time you visit Costa Rica you can meet him and see what his ministry is doing in the banana plantations of Heredia. They need a lot of help.
