If our path is easy, then maybe we're not getting any opposition from the hinderer. That may mean we're riding parallel. That really stuck with me, and I have found it to be painfully true as I look back on moments in my life. Great, great way to examine how Satan works in our lives without us knowing in many cases. The devil is all around us and we don't see him. So many times this past year I have seen God right there with me and I've seen the devil trying to break me. Sadly, I have listened to those lies at times and am thankful for God's grace for wrongly listening. I know that the devil is trying to break me down BUT I stand firm with God. I have grown stronger in my walk and ask God daily for the blessing of my kids in my life. Now, as I face surgery and possible malignant cancer, I am not scared. I know that God is here and I will face whatever comes my way. The devil doesn't play fair!! I know that I have lived the hardest thing I probably ever will live in this life during this long, ugly and heart-breaking year. I also know God has been right here with me and I have felt his arms literally around me many, many times. He loves me so!
